AND THE WINNER IS …….
Andy Covarrubias was named Mr. Regiment 2014 on Saturday October 19th infront of a packed house at Eagle LA in Silverlake, Ca. Andy wowed the crowd…and the judges with his charismatic smile, articulate remarks and sexy interaction with the audience. Matthew Mullins and Daniel Flores made it a close race as these two gentlemen were mere points from victory themselves.
This was a sexually charged weekend of events for the Black and Tans who are “Celebrating 40 years of Service in Uniform” in the Los Angeles community. Starting Friday night, the three contestants acted out their hottest fantasies at ENLISTMENT which was held in the parking lot of Rough Trade in Silverlake, Ca. The “cadets” left the judges wet in their seats and drooling for more! The party contined at the Eagle with ROLL CALL as the contestants “officially” kicked off the weekend as they presented themselves to the crowd. The highjinks continued Saturday afternoon with the INTERVIEW and naked pool party (use your imagination). On Saturday night The SKIRMISH was an explosion of flesh, hot men and amazing talent.
A world class panel of judges were on hand to make this very difficult decison. Andy Cross – Internation Mr. Leather 2013 was a very special guest judge. Shad Cruz- Mr. So Cal Leather (a.k.a. Leather Jesus), Esteban Jimenez co-founder of Payasos LA, Michael Lara – Owner of the Bullet bar, NoHo., Charlie Matula –owner of Eagle L.A. Michael Parra – Mr. Phoenix Leather 2013 and head judge Justin Emerick – Mr. Regiment 2013, everyone wrapped up the weekend at The COUP victory celebration on Sunday afternoon held at a private resident. Andy will compete in March for the title of Los Angeles Mr. Leather. If victorious, he would be the fifth Mr. Regiment in a row to win the title. Good Luck Andy!
The Regiment is gearing up for the holiday season is a big way. We are celebrating our 40th Toast to the Season on Dec. 7th. It is an old-fashioned beer bust/cocktail party where the club invites many of it’s friends and contributors to gather and reminisce on the year and look ahead to a hopeful year to come. Afterwhich everyone congregates at the Eagle LA bar for their annual toy drive hosted by Bears Ventura. Please bring an unwrapped toy (no stuffed animals please)

WELCOME
I would like to take you all on a journey with me and my Black and Tan brothers back in time. As we enjoy a year-long celebration heading into our 40th anniversary, there is a lot to reflect on.
Many of you are old enough to remember the less complicated, electronic free days of the 1970’s and early 80’s. Back then you carried change in your pocket to make a phone call in the corner phone booth and actually walked up to a guy in a bar to physically say “hello”. Read more →
