What is the Regiment?
Located in Los Angeles, California, The Regiment of the Black and Tans is now celebrating its 35th Anniversary. We are one of the oldest uniform clubs in the US. As a service fraternity with a very limited Active Membership, we are a founding member of the Los Angeles Leather Coalition.
Recently, we introduced our new Deputy Membership program to encourage more participation from the community. Deputy Members have most of the duties and privileges of Active Members (except voting.) We currently have openings for a select few qualified men to become Deputy Members.
As you can see from the Calendar in this flyer, we conduct a number of events throughout the year, from our infamous Maneuvers Uniform Weekend in the Spring to our traditional Toast to the Season during the holidays.
We are known for both our formal dress uniform affairs such as our recent 35th Anniversary gala at the prestigious LA Athletic Club as well as our raunchy dress code play parties like GRUNT. The club also sponsors the annual Mr. Regiment contest, a feeder contest for Mr. LA Leather.
Who Is a good candidate for Deputy Membership?
As a prospective Deputy Member -
You are interested in uniforms and would enjoy wearing the club uniform at club and public functions. You have possibly already attended one or more of our events and have experienced how hot it is to be amongst a group of men all in uniform. Of course, you may have other interests in leather and kink which we encouraged!
You are willing to attend several club meetings and events before becoming eligible.
You understand that Members of The Regiment are expected to be leaders in the community, articulate, dependable and true gentlemen.
You are committed as we all are to attending meetings and working hard to make sure our events are successful.
You understand that semi-annual dues are assessed.
Why you want to join the Regiment -
After completing the membership requirements and after being approved by vote of the Active Members, you will be proud to wear the Deputy Member version of the Regiment uniform as part of one of the most respected uniform organizations anywhere. You will participate in putting on some of the premier events of the leather community annual calendar and will represent The Regiment wherever you go. As vacancies occur, Deputy Members are considered for appointment to Active Member status.
