Try our Chili! Don’t miss our 10th Annual LA Firehouse Chili Cook Off is on November 8th at Eagle LA!

Instructions for participants:

The Regiment is looking for a few good men to participate as guest chefs. The winners will receive one of the following five (5) trophies given.

 

1.     Best of Show (Name etched in time in our perpetual Fireman Trophy and a take home plaque)

2.     Best Presentation (The Robert E Blackman Award).

3.     Most Original Chili (Must be Edible without Inducing Organ Failure).

4.     Firehouse Favorite (This award is voted on by our guests)

5.     EagleLA Management Favorite (voted on by the Staff of the EagleLA)

 

The winner of “Best in Show” will have their name etched into history on the Regiment’s perpetual Fireman Trophy. To be displayed at the EagleLA. This is a very impressive trophy, one that you would be proud to have your name etched into and accompanying some of the most notable personalities of our community.

 

What You Need to Know to Enter The Chili Cook Off:

 

There is NO Entry FEE. You will need to bring 2 to 3 gallons of your chili, a crock-pot to keep your chili warm. Any additional items: cheese, sour cream, onions and any fun decoration you wish to create your experience with.  PLEASE, if asked, you should be able to tell how you made it and what ingredients are in it. This is important because some people have food allergies.

 

You need to bring warm or well heated chili.  Please note most crock-pots take an hour or better to totally heat an item, we do not have the time or a microwave to heat your chili for you. You may set up your Chili display any time after 2:20pm. PLEASE BE ON TIME!!!!!

 

This event opens to the public at 3:00 P.M. SHARP be ready!

 

The Regiment will provide the following:  Table space with red and white table cloths (about a 24” x 30” space), small ladles, spoons and napkins with sample cups to put chili in. We will supply power cords for you to plug your crock pot into.

 

We must have your name with club or charity affiliation in advance to create a certificate of participation which will be given to you for your participation. This certificate is suitable for framing. It will show your name, the event and location for entering this year’s event.
